What to Know

  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first class. Give yourself time to ask any questions, see the space, and relax on your mat before class starts. We welcome you with so much love!
  • Be sure to notify your instructor of any recent injuries or physical restrictions.
  • All classes are open to everyone, though there may be ones that are a better fit. Gentle Yoga, Mindful Movement, and Yin Flow are great places to start.
  • Practicing yoga on an empty stomach is highly recommended. Generally, it’s best to avoid eating for 1–2 hours before class.
  • Honor your body. Do what feels good, and never push through pain. There are no prizes for poses.
  • Please, no cell phones in the yoga space. Your time at the studio is truly made for you to shut down from technology and take a break from your busy schedule.
  • Every class ends with an especially beneficial period of relaxation/meditation. “Savasana” is the final resting posture. This is time we allow our bodies and minds to fully integrate our practice. Please refrain from leaving class during this time. If you must leave before the end of class, quietly gather your belongings and exit before Savasana.
  • Most yoga classes will close with the phrase “namaste,” a gesture to send a message of peaceful spirituality to the universe in the hopes of receiving a positive message back. Roughly translated, namaste means “the divine in me bows to the divine in you.”

What to Bring

  • If you have your own mat and props, please bring them! If not, we have yoga mats, blocks, blankets, straps and bolsters for you to use. Mats, blocks and straps are also available for purchase at the studio.
  • A filled water bottle.
  • An open mind…your body will follow!

What to Wear

  • Wear something that feels good. It does not have to be stylish or expensive. Anything fitting and comfortable is perfect.
